Morton's Neuroma Treatment Houston, TX

A neuroma is a benign nerve tumor. A morton's neuroma is not actually a neuroma at all, but a thickening of the tissue around a nerve to the toes of your foot. This causes pain and sometimes numbness or tingling in the toes.

The treatment for a morton's neuroma can involve changing your shoes, orthotics or shoe inserts, or a steroid injection. Injections of alcohol should not be done, as they have both a high recurrence rate and a high rate of complications.

Most people get better with non-surgical treatment, but when needed, surgery can be done to remove a small portion of the nerve to relieve the pain.
