Progressive Flatfoot Treatment Houston, TX

Progressive flat foot occurs when the tendon on the inside (medial) of the ankle fails and the arch collapses. It is typically painful when turning your foot in towards the center. When you stand, your toes will go outward, and your ankle will appear to be falling inwards. This problem can sometimes be managed with bracing or shoe inserts. When this does not work, surgery may be needed to relieve pain and prevent or treat arthritis, and correct the shape of the foot.
